Job Description :

The Finance Lead will provide strategic financial leadership, ensuring the company's long-term financial health and sustainability. The role involves overseeing accounting, budgeting, financial planning & analysis, audits, compliance, and cost control. With 15+ years of experience, the Finance Lead is expected to act as a key business partner to senior management, providing insights for decision-making and driving profitability, cost optimization, and financial governance.

Key Responsibilities:1. Strategic Financial Management

  • Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Provide financial insights for business expansion, capital investments, and risk management.
  • Partner with leadership on long-term business planning and growth initiatives.

2. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

  • Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
  • Monitor financial performance and recommend corrective actions.
  • Provide cost-benefit analysis for new projects, investments, and process improvements.

3. Accounting & Compliance

  • Oversee all financial accounting, reporting, and statutory compliance.
  • Ensure timely closure of books, audits, and regulatory filings.
  • Maintain adherence to Indian Accounting Standards (Ind-AS), Companies Act, Income Tax, GST and other statutory regulations.

4. Costing & Control

  • Drive cost control initiatives, especially in manufacturing (fixtures, machining, automation projects).
  • Monitor working capital, cash flow, and inventory costs.
  • Implement effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.

5. Treasury & Risk Management

  • Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, and funding requirements.
  • Oversee treasury operations including cash management, FX, and hedging (if applicable).
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks affecting the organization.

6. Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and mentor finance & accounts teams, building strong financial discipline.
  • Establish finance as a business partner, not just a compliance function.
  • Drive digital transformation in finance (ERP/automation of reporting).

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA), Cost Accountant (CMA), or MBA in Finance.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in finance & accounts, preferably in manufacturing/engineering industry.
  • Strong expertise in financial reporting, compliance, taxation, and audit.
  • Proven track record in budgeting, cost control, and strategic financial planning.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, etc.).
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills for board-level interactions.
