Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Special Education Specialist located in Chennai. The Special Education Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs. The role involves collaborating with teachers, parents, and support staff to create inclusive learning environments, providing tailored interventions, and monitoring student progress. Additional responsibilities include overseeing assessments, promoting effective communication strategies, and ensuring adherence to education plans and standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Special Education practices and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
  • Proficiency in Communication, particularly when working with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Background in Education with the ability to tailor lessons to meet individual learning needs
  • Experience Working With Children, particularly those with diverse learning styles and needs
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
  • Patience, empathy, and ability to maintain a positive learning environment
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, Education, Child Development, or related fields
  • Relevant certifications in Special Education or Applied Behavior Analysis are a plus
