MS Fabric Expert

We are seeking a skilled Microsoft Fabric Expert to design, develop, and manage enterprise-scale data engineering, analytics, and integration solutions within Microsoft Fabric. This role will focus on building data pipelines and analytics models that seamlessly integrate Anaplan planning systems and SAP S/4HANA ERP to enable automated reporting, advanced analytics, and connected planning across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Engineering & Architecture

• Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines, lakehouses, and semantic models within Microsoft Fabric (Data Engineering, Data Factory, Power BI, OneLake).
• Develop dataflows to ingest, clean, and transform data from SAP S/4HANA (supply chain, and master data) and Anaplan (planning and forecasting models).
• Create reusable datasets and data products for analytics, planning, and reporting needs.
• Ensure data quality, lineage, and governance across all Fabric components.

Integration with Anaplan & SAP S/4

• Build and manage end-to-end integrations between:

• SAP S/4HANA (for master/transactional data) and Fabric using tools such as Azure Data Factory, Synapse pipelines, or SAP BTP.

• Anaplan for planning/forecasting data using REST APIs, Anaplan Connect, or middleware.

• Automate data refresh cycles to provide real-time or near-real-time data availability for planning and reporting.

• Work closely with Anaplan model builders and SAP consultants to design data schemas and optimize integration flows.

Analytics & Reporting

• Develop Power BI datasets, dashboards, and reports on top of Fabric models to enable interactive analysis and management reporting.
• Implement row-level security and role-based access to safeguard sensitive data.
• Support financial and operational planning processes by delivering integrated analytics solutions.

Collaboration & Support

• Partner with Finance, Planning, and IT teams to translate business requirements into scalable Fabric solutions.
• Troubleshoot integration issues, monitor data pipelines, and optimize performance.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to data engineers, BI developers, and planning consultants.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Microsoft Fabric Expertise

• Hands-on experience in Data Engineering, OneLake, Power BI, and Data Factory, SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio)

• Strong understanding of lakehouse architecture, data modeling, and ETL/ELT design.

• Integration Experience

• Proven experience integrating SAP S/4HANA data into Azure/Fabric using ODP, CDS views, or SAP BTP/Azure Data Factory.

• Experience connecting Anaplan to Fabric using REST APIs, Anaplan Connect.

• Knowledge of data transformation and reconciliation across systems.

• Strong understanding of finance and planning processes (budgeting, forecasting, management reporting).

• Proficiency in SQL, DAX, Python, or Spark for advanced data transformations.
• Experience in Panasonic Planning & Reporting Processes.
