Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced
Regional Manager
to oversee and manage the lightening protection material installation and Global Earthing system at multiple large-scale construction projects across the region. The ideal candidate will have a strong
electrical engineering
background and experience in leading construction teams. The Regional Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while coordinating resources and activities across different locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management:
Oversee and manage the execution of multiple construction projects in the region, ensuring all earthing installations are properly executed as per engineering specifications and local regulations. - Leadership & Team Management:
Lead a team of project managers, engineers, and site supervisors, fostering a collaborative environment and providing guidance to ensure project goals are met. - Budget & Cost Control:
Develop and manage budgets for each project, ensuring cost control measures are in place to avoid budget overruns. - Schedule Management:
Ensure that project timelines are adhered to, identifying potential delays and providing solutions to keep projects on track. - Client Relations:
Serve as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring clear and consistent communication regarding project status, challenges, and progress. - Quality Assurance & Compliance:
Ensure that all work complies with safety regulations, quality standards, and electrical engineering best practices. - Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate risks, develop contingency plans, and ensure that projects are delivered successfully despite unforeseen challenges. - Coordination:
Work closely with other regional and corporate teams (engineering, procurement, finance, etc.) to align project needs and ensure smooth workflow across various departments. - Reporting:
Provide regular updates to senior management on the progress of each project, including financial status, key performance indicators, and any issues requiring attention.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. A master's degree or additional certifications in project management is a plus. - Experience:
Minimum of 15 to 20 years of experience in managing large-scale construction projects, with a focus on electrical systems. Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. - Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and their application in construction projects. - Leadership Skills:
Ability to lead, motivate, and mentor project teams to ensure project success. - Problem-Solving:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify problems early and implement effective solutions. - Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, contractors, and senior management. - Project Management Certification:
PMP, or equivalent certification, preferred. - Travel:
Ability to travel frequently within the region to oversee project sites.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position based on-site with frequent travel required to project locations.
- Standard working hours with flexibility as needed based on project timelines and deadlines.
