Key Responsibilities:

  • Tax Compliance:Ensuring the organization meets all tax obligations, including direct and indirect taxes, and preparing and filing tax returns.

  • Financial Reporting:Preparing accurate and timely financial statements and reports for management and stakeholders.

  • Team Leadership:Managing and developing the accounting and tax team, ensuring their professional development and performance.

  • Process Improvement:Identifying and implementing improvements in accounting and tax processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

  • Reporting to Senior Management:Providing regular updates on tax and accounting performance, highlighting key issues and opportunities.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive knowledge of accounting and taxation principles: Understanding of direct and indirect taxes, accounting standards (e.g., IND AS, US GAAP), and tax laws.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: Ability to analyze financial data, identify tax risks and opportunities, and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills: Ability to lead and motivate a team, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in accounting software: Familiarity with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle.
  • Experience in financial reporting: Ability to prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
  • Understanding of tax planning and strategy: Ability to develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
  • Knowledge of audit procedures: Understanding of internal and external audit processes and compliance requirements.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's/PG degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Additional certifications like CPA, CMA, or CA
