About the Role :

Mobikwik is seeking a senior leader to join as
AVP – Data (Data Analytics & Data Science).
The role involves ownership of both Data Analytics and Data Science functions in the Central Team, with a span of approximately 20+ people. The person in this role will enable Payments, Lending, and Wealth verticals to make data‑driven decisions, build predictive and self‑improving models, and drive AI capability building across the organization.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead and manage a team of
  data analysts, data scientists, ML engineers, and BI specialists
  (20+ members).
• Define and execute analytics strategy to support business verticals:
  Payments, Lending, Wealth.
• Develop and deploy predictive algorithms and models for credit risk, fraud detection, customer lifetime value, propensity, churn, personalization, pricing, etc.
• Implement frameworks for continuous learning / model retraining using live/trainable datasets, feedback loops, and model monitoring.
• Oversee
  data pipelines, feature engineering, data ingestion, storage,
  processing and ensure data quality, governance, security, and privacy compliance.
• Collaborate closely with vertical heads (Payments, Lending, Wealth) and senior leadership to translate business problems into data/AI solutions.
• Build internal AI/ML capabilities: MLOps infrastructure, model versioning, drift detection, experimentation, real‑time inference where required.
• Lead innovation in AI use cases (e.g. smart assistants, GenAI applications, recommender systems, anomaly detection) to improve user experience and operational efficiency.
• Provide insights and reporting to drive key business metrics: growth, margins, risk, retention, monetization.

Required Qualifications:

• 14‑18 years of experience in
  Data Science, Machine Learning, Analytics
  , with at least 5+ years in leadership roles.
• Strong domain experience in fintech or financial services, especially in Payments, Lending, Wealth or related risk modelling.
• Exposure with ML frameworks and libraries (Python, TensorFlow / PyTorch / scikit‑learn etc.), SQL, and big data tools/platforms (Spark / Hadoop / cloud data services).
• Experience in deploying models in production, monitoring their performance, addressing model drift, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Experience in setting up MLOps / AI infrastructure, model versioning, feature stores, experiments / A/B testing frameworks.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving skills, ability to work with ambiguous requirements and deliver results under deadlines.
• Ability to work with senior leadership, influence cross‑functional teams.
