Designation: Senior Support Engineer(L2)

Business Unit : Traffic

Qualification : Bachelor's degree in information technology or computer science or equivalent.

Mandatory Skill: Strong Experience API Hosting, postgres database SW Installation and Database configuration, scripting languages such as SQL/My SQL and postgres, ICD2.5, Server Installation, Good understanding of design concepts and design patterns.

Database: postgres database

OS: Windows and Linux

Communication : Must be good in English

Experience : 5 Years of experience

Work Experience Must Have –

  • Lead the implementation of the ICD 2.5 interface control document at new and existing toll plazas., ensure compliance with all technical and business requirements.

  • Work with hardware vendors (RFID readers, AVC systems, WIM, lane controllers) to ensure data capture and message formats align with specification.

  • Integrate acquiring banks, host systems, and the central mapper/switch (via APIs or files) as defined in ICD 2.5.

  • Monitor transaction flows, TATs (turn-around times), exception/violation cases, blacklist/whitelist management, settlement files and reporting.

  • Conduct UAT/POC testing for toll-plaza onboarding under ICD 2.5.

  • Address failure scenarios, reconciliation, dispute management, settlement differences and audit requirements per specification.

  • Provide MIS and operational dashboards:- daily settlement summary, raw data files, incoming/outgoing files, violation reports, etc.

  • Maintain documentation, change-control and versioning for ICD 2.5 compliance., liaise with regulatory / oversight agencies such as National

Highways Authority of India (NHAI), Indian Highways Management Company Limited (IHMCL) and National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI).

  • Proven work experience as a technical support engineer.

  • Experience in implementing software solutions

  • Experience with scripting languages such as SQL/My SQL and Postgres.

  • Install and Upgrade postgres and Corresponding Application Tools.

  • Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues.

  • Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal.

  • Properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams (e.g. software developers).

  • Installing and configuring operating systems, anti-virus software and other applications such as visual studio, third party app, drivers, firewall etc..

  • Managing backups of servers, in case of data loss

  • Maintenance of Main Database like backups, data purging.

  • Experience on Postgres.

  • Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux environments

  • Installing and configuring client computer systems.

  • Responding to client support requests.

  • Meeting with L1 team to diagnose software, networking, or hardware issues.

  • Participate in data analysis, mapping, and configuration meetings.

  • Providing technical support on-site or via remote-access systems.

  • Improve apps to meet customer's business needs and follow best practices.

  • Repairing hardware malfunctions, software issues, and networking problems.

  • Tracking and managing work records.

  • Coordinate with L3 team to resolve issues.

  • Ensure all issues are properly logged.

  • Willing to work whenever support required even on weekend.

  • Extend user support and training to customers.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Good Documentation skills (technical writer).
