Position: Senior Manager – Tax

Experience Required : 8–10 years

Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA)

Preferred Location: Bangalore – 4 days WFO

About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and highly skilled Senior Manager – Tax with strong expertise in international taxation (especially US taxation) and solid working knowledge of Indian direct & indirect tax regulations. The role requires a Chartered Accountant with 8–10 years of post-qualification experience, ideally from a Big 4 tax practice or a multinational corporate tax function. This position will play a key role in managing global tax compliance, advisory, and planning for our IT services operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • International Taxation

o Lead and manage cross-border taxation matters with primary focus on US tax laws and regulations.

o Advise on permanent establishment (PE), transfer pricing, withholding taxes, BEPS, and treaty benefits.

o Support structuring of international operations, intercompany transactions, and cross-border service arrangements.

o Partner with US tax advisors to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements.

  • India Taxation

o Oversee Indian direct tax compliance including income tax returns, advance tax, and assessments.

o Ensure timely filings and liaise with external advisors and authorities where required.

o Monitor changes in Indian tax laws and assess implications for business.

  • Tax Planning & Advisory

o Provide proactive advice on tax-efficient structures for contracts, M&A, and cross-border projects.

o Develop strategies for effective management of global effective tax rate.

o Assess impact of evolving global tax reforms (e.g., Pillar 1 & 2, OECD guidelines) on business.

  • Governance & Risk Management

o Ensure robust documentation and compliance with transfer pricing regulations.

o Manage tax audits and controversies, coordinating with legal and finance teams.

o Implement internal controls and tax risk management frameworks.

  • Stakeholder Management

o Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Business leaders on tax matters impacting operations.

o Partner with external advisors for complex global tax issues.

o Provide regular updates and insights to senior management on tax exposure, risks, and opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Chartered Accountant (mandatory).

  • 5–7 years of relevant post-qualification experience in international and domestic taxation.

  • Big 4 tax practice or multinational corporate tax experience strongly preferred.

  • Deep knowledge of US tax laws and working experience with Indian taxation.

  • Strong expertise in transfer pricing, cross-border structuring, and treaty interpretation.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
