Job Title: Team Lead – Scrum Master

Role Purpose

As a Team Lead – Scrum Master, you will lead cross-functional teams to deliver agile-based project outcomes and accelerate business value. You will facilitate Scrum processes, ensure adherence to agile methodologies, and serve as the bridge between product owners, managers, and development teams. This role requires strong leadership, mentoring, and collaboration skills to drive team effectiveness and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate key Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, reviews, and demos.

• Support and coach Product Owners in grooming and maintaining product backlogs.

• Track, analyze, and communicate team performance metrics and sprint/release progress.

• Mentor and coach Scrum teams on Agile values, principles, and practices; foster self-organization.

• Ensure Scrum processes are followed and continuously refined as team maturity increases.

• Coordinate with other agile teams to manage dependencies and align on complex project deliverables.

• Champion Agile best practices and strengthen the team's role as an Agile Center of Excellence.

• Act as a project manager when necessary, managing scope, timelines, and dependencies.

• Remove impediments to enable teams to focus on value delivery.

• Empower teams to take ownership of outcomes and drive continuous improvement.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills

• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and advanced project management skills.

• Proven track record of leading agile/Scrum teams, with ability to enforce agile principles and resolve conflicts.

• Excellent communication skills—oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal.

• Ability to independently handle diverse and complex tasks with minimal supervision.

• Strong facilitation and problem-solving skills.

• Mandatory: Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification or equivalent.

• Ability to identify and manage non-development dependencies impacting delivery.
