Position Overview
We are looking for a result-oriented Government Sales executive with proven expertise and track record in doing business with government customers. He/she should experience of doing business with public sector undertakings, ministries, and government departments. The candidate should have a minimum of 4–5 years of experience in government sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue business opportunities within Central Government, State Government, PSUs, and other public sector entities in Delhi/NCR.
- Manage GEM business, tendering processes, RFPs, rate contracts, and e-procurement portals.
- Proven record of 3 to 5 years of doing business with government customers.
- Have handled minimum monthly sales target of 10 to 50 lacs per month.
- Conduct cold calls, suspecting, networking, and prospecting to establish connections with key officials, decision makers in government departments.
- Picked up good revenue orders or deals.
- Present and promote products including laptops, desktops, servers, networking equipment, storage devices, printers, copiers, scanners, projectors, plotters, UPS, and software solutions to government clients.
- Ensure compliance with government procurement guidelines, technical specifications, and bid requirements.
- Should have very good relationship with at least 25 to 50 government customers.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to secure long-term contracts and repeat business.
- Should have strong knowledge of GeM buying process.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in government sales (Office Automation & IT industry preferred).
- Knowledge: Strong familiarity with government procurement policies, tendering norms, and e-procurement platforms.
- Skills: Good communication skills in English (verbal & written)
- Location Knowledge: Well-versed with Delhi/NCR geography.
- Own conveyance (Vehicle) and laptop is must.
- Should be ready for frequent government department visits and government customer visits.
Working Days & Hours:
- Monday to Saturday
- 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM (or as per company policy)
Salary:
- Between 3 lacs to 6 lacs.
