Role Overview
The Government Sales Coordinator will play a key role in managing billing, tender coordination, and internal department alignment for government sales. The role involves monitoring tenders, preparing bid documents, managing payments/guarantees, and supporting dealer onboarding on GeM. The candidate will act as a bridge between clients, internal teams, and government procurement portals to ensure smooth execution of orders and compliance with processes.
Key Responsibilities
Billing & Coordination:
Coordinate with internal departments (Accounts, Logistics, Technical, etc.) for smooth billing and order execution.
Ensure timely submission of invoices, dispatch documents, and compliance requirements.
Tender & MIS Management:
Maintain and update MIS on Government tenders and bids.
Track results of tenders to derive insights for pricing and strategy in bulk government deals.
Payment & Bank Transactions:
Follow up with clients for payments, EMDs (Earnest Money Deposits), and Bank Guarantees.
Maintain records and track timelines for recoveries and compliance.
Bid Preparation & Submission:
Prepare bid documents, letters, and proposals for government bidding.
Submit tenders and bids through various government portals, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
GeM (Government e-Marketplace) Management:
Upload and update products on GeM Portal.
- Train and guide dealers for enrollment and usage of GeM.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Business Administration, Commerce, or related field.
- 24 years of experience in government sales coordination, tender management, or similar role (preferred).
- Good knowledge of GeM Portal, e-tendering processes, and government procurement procedures.
- Strong coordination, communication, and follow-up skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and MIS reporting.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to handle documentation and compliance.
