The North America Payroll Operations employee in Human Resources is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of payroll processes, with responsibilities centered on auditing, process improvement, and supporting operational teams. This person supports accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees, by maintaining and updated master data, reviews processes to do so and ensures all involved in the process maintains compliance with company policies and statutory regulations. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, process orientation, confidentiality, and a strong understanding of payroll processes and HR best practices
In This Role, You Will
- Support the payroll process for all employees in accordance with Cvent's policies and statutory requirements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Review and validate payroll data, including one-time payments and onboarding-related transactions, to identify discrepancies or errors.
- Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and Shared Services teams to build and maintain payroll rules and processes.
- Develop and implement quality assurance procedures and checklists for payroll operations.
- Maintain and update payroll records, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, and other relevant employee data that directly impacts payroll
- Collaborate with the Human Resources department and Payroll department to verify employee information, resolve discrepancies, and ensure data integrity.
- Support the transition of payroll-related tasks to Shared Services by providing expertise and training as needed.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain documentation of payroll QA processes and findings and report on quality metrics to management.
- Assist in the onboarding and training of new payroll staff, focusing on quality standards and best practices.
- Assist in management of payroll-related queries from employees, providing clear and timely responses while maintaining confidentiality.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to payroll, tax deductions, and statutory filings.
- Coordinate with Finance and other relevant departments to reconcile payroll data and support audits as required.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports and statements as needed for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the onboarding process by ensuring new hire payroll documentation is complete and accurate.
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of payroll systems and process improvements.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll and employee information in line with company policies.
- Coordination with Payroll & Finance
- Payroll reporting (Deductions & Payments)

Here's What You Need
Qualifications & Skills
- Master's degree in human resources or finance.
- Geographical & Financial/Regulatory understanding of US, Canada, UK + EMEA countries.
- Proven experience in US, Canada and UK payroll processing, preferably within a corporate or shared services environment.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems, statutory compliance, and HR best practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with employees and internal teams.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, HR System and payroll software.
- Workday & Payroll System knowledge (ADP preferably, Workday)
