Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts in a designated territory. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in outside sales and management, with a proven track record in business development and account management. This role requires a strategic thinker who can effectively drive B2B sales initiatives, foster relationships with clients, and lead a team to achieve sales targets. The Regional Sales Manager will also be responsible for leveraging technology sales tools and CRM software to enhance sales processes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives within the assigned region.
- Manage and mentor a team of sales representatives, providing guidance on best practices in territory management and lead generation.
- Drive business development efforts by identifying new market opportunities and expanding existing accounts through upselling and cross-selling strategies.
- Conduct product demos and presentations to potential clients, showcasing the value of our offerings.
- Utilize Salesforce and other CRM software to track sales activities, manage customer relationships, and analyze performance metrics.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to align strategies that support lead generation and brand awareness initiatives.
- Engage in direct sales activities including cold calling, inside sales, and retail sales efforts to build a robust pipeline of prospects.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals while ensuring exceptional customer service throughout the sales process.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions and improve overall sales effectiveness.
Skills
- Proven experience in outside sales, with a strong focus on B2B environments.
- Demonstrated management skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team.
- Strong business development acumen with expertise in account management and territory sales strategies.
- Proficient in technology sales, including familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM software.
- Excellent negotiation skills coupled with a customer-centric approach to selling.
- Ability to conduct thorough analysis of market data to drive informed decision-making.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to deliver impactful product demos and presentations.
- Experience in lead generation techniques, including cold calling strategies for effective outreach.
