Position Overview:

The General Manager (GM) will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end operations of the manufacturing unit, including production, quality control, maintenance, supply chain, and team management. The role demands a strategic leader with strong technical understanding and a proven ability to drive growth and efficiency in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production & Operations Management

  • Oversee daily plant operations to ensure optimal production efficiency and adherence to quality standards.
  • Plan, organize, and control production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery timelines.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.

2. Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure strict adherence to ISO and industry quality standards.
  • Drive product quality improvement initiatives and reduce wastage and rework.
  • Maintain compliance with environmental, safety, and statutory regulations.

3. Supply Chain & Inventory Control

  • Manage procurement, raw material planning, and vendor coordination.
  • Optimize inventory levels to balance cost efficiency and uninterrupted production.
  • Strengthen logistics and dispatch processes for timely delivery.

4. Maintenance & Engineering

  • Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs for machinery and equipment.
  • Evaluate technology upgrades and automation opportunities to improve productivity.

5. Financial & Cost Management

  • Prepare and monitor budgets, production costs, and profitability metrics.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities across operations.

6. People & Leadership

  • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, fostering a performance-driven culture.
  • Build capability within the workforce through training and skill development.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination between departments.

7. Strategic Planning & Growth

  • Contribute to long-term strategic planning and expansion initiatives.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.
  • Support management in driving organizational growth and profitability.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering (MBA preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum years Experience in PVC pipes industry is preferred, 10 years Experience as senior management role is must
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, process optimization,
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
