Role & responsibilities
Culinary Leadership
- Develop, refine, and execute Endlesss menu (burgers, plated desserts, starters, small plates, and beverages) with a focus on gourmet quality, consistency, and innovation.
- Maintain Endlesss brand philosophy: minimalist, cinematic dining with uncompromising taste and presentation.
- Balance creativity with practicalitydesign dishes that are both unique and scalable in Coimbatores dining market.
2. Kitchen Operations
- Oversee daily kitchen operations: prep, cooking, plating, quality checks, and timely service.
- Standardize recipes and portion sizes to ensure consistency, cost control, and customer satisfaction.
- Establish and monitor kitchen workflows, hygiene standards, and equipment maintenance schedules.
3. Team Management
- Recruit, train, and lead the kitchen team (sous chefs, commis, pastry team, dishwashers).
- Set performance standards and provide continuous mentoring and skill development.
- Foster a collaborative, disciplined, and respectful kitchen culture in line with Endless's ethos.
- Guest Experience
- Occasionally interact with guests to understand feedback and align the kitchen experience with customer expectations.
- Ensure the plating, aroma, and presentation reflect Endless's luxury standards.
Preferred candidate profile
Background & Experience
- 5–10 years of professional culinary experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership/head chef role.
- Strong background in gourmet burgers, modern European, Italian, and plated desserts.
- Experience in premium casual / fine-dining cafs or luxury boutique restaurants.
- Exposure to both kitchen operations (costing, team management) and culinary innovation (seasonal menus, trends).
- Previous experience in setting up a new kitchen or brand is a plus.
Skills & Competencies
- Culinary Mastery: Proficient in brioche buns, gourmet patties, sauces, small plates, plated desserts, and premium coffee pairings.
- Aesthetic Awareness: Ability to plate food with a cinematic, minimal, and luxury-driven style that matches Endless's brand identity.
- Leadership: Skilled at training, mentoring, and managing a diverse kitchen team while maintaining discipline and respect.
- Financial Acumen: Knowledge of food costing, portioning, wastage control, and supplier negotiations.
- Innovation: Keen sense of food trends with the ability to adapt them to Coimbatore's market.
- Communication: Professional, clear, and collaborative with management, staff, and occasionally guests.
