Department: Admissions & Business Development – Apollo University Programs

Location: Chennai

Overview

The Business Development Executive (BDE) will be responsible for promoting Apollo University's pathway and higher education programs in Chennai. The role involves student counseling, lead generation, networking with schools/colleges, and achieving admissions targets. Since this is a field-intensive role, the candidate must be willing to travel daily within Chennai and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Student Counseling & Conversion
  • Counsel prospective students and parents about Apollo University programs, entry requirements, and career pathways.
  • Manage the admission process including applications, documentation, and basic visa guidance.
  • Achieve monthly/quarterly admissions targets.
  • Business Development & Outreach
  • Generate leads through school/college visits, events, and digital platforms.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with educational institutions and consultants in Chennai.
  • Participate in education fairs, recruitment drives, and university promotional activities.
  • Relationship Management
  • Maintain continuous follow-up with students, parents, and partners to ensure high conversion rates.
  • Represent Apollo University in local outreach activities with professionalism.
  • Reporting & Coordination
  • Update CRM/student database with accurate information on leads and conversions.
  • Provide weekly/monthly reports to the management team.
  • Coordinate with marketing and admissions teams for smooth recruitment operations.

  • Proven ability to meet admissions/sales targets.
  • Good knowledge of the education/overseas admissions sector.
  • Highly proactive, disciplined, and result-oriented.
  • Comfortable with extensive travel in and around Chennai.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (any discipline).
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in Sales & Marketing within the Educational Industry.
  • Must have a valid driving license and own a two-wheeler (mandatory for daily travel).
  • Prior experience in student counseling or academic sales is an added advantage.
