Overall Purpose of The Job
The Team Leader is responsible for managing a team; ensuring team members deliver performance that meets or exceeds the required performance levels in terms of quality and efficiency, will act as the first-line people manager, overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring adherence to data governance policies, driving process standardization, and delivering high-quality service aligned with business SLAs; serves as a point of escalation for issues and drives issues to resolution; generates ideas for and participates in process improvement opportunities and team members development This role ensures the accuracy, consistency, and governance of master data across business functions.
Job Location:Oshiwara, Goregaon West, Mumbai, India (Nearest Local Station : Ram Mandir, Nearest Metro Station : Goregaon West)
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct supervision and provide leadership to his/ her team on day-to-day responsibilities, motivate team to achieve highest level of quality, efficiency and meet or exceed all goals. Build a culture of continuous improvement.
- Enable accurate accounting and service delivery with highest level of quality and timely ensuring compliance, approval verification and quality control review.
- Ensure all accounting policies and controls are implemented.
- Timely monitor and manage reporting of all performance indicators specific to his/her team.
- Facilitate timely issue resolution, including escalation in accordance with governance structure.
- Work with other team leaders to ensure that the department is meeting or exceeding performance levels.
- Identify and present solutions for process improvements.
- Provide internal and external audit support, as required.
- Foster communication and teamwork within and across organizational boundaries.
- Develop skill sets of team members to be ready for future opportunities.
- Conduct performance reviews, track individual/team KPIs, and identify training needs.
- Retain top talent in the team and provide platform for growth.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and standardization across the MDM landscape.
- Ensure effective documentation of processes, SOPs, and work instructions.
- Support internal/external audits and compliance checks.
- Provide regular reporting and insights on data quality, issue trends, and operational performance to senior management.
- Champion adoption of new technologies and digital solutions that enhance master data processes
- Any other duties or responsibilities assigned by the line manager.
Essential:
- Ability to manage a diverse group of skill sets in a delivery center environment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to portray professionalism and confidence to customers/stakeholders via phone and e-mail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to multi-task and handle large volume of work efficiently and accurately.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving ability
- Demonstrate high ethical standards.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) for reporting and documentation
SKILLS, QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- University Graduate or MBA with a major in finance, business, or accounting
- 8+ years of Domain Expertise
- Experience in accounting, Data Management, and financial systems
- Experience in interfacing with business operational customers and Controllers
- Must have at least 2-3 years of people management experience
