Title: Geography Lead - BD & L – AFMET CIS
Location: Biocon Biologics., Head office, Bangalore
Hiring/Reporting Manager: Head BD, EM
Teams which will closely collaborate: Regional commercial, Legal, SCM, Finance
Background:
- BBL is looking for a BD&L LEAD for AFMET to drive BD deals end to end for BBL Internal pipeline product launches and revenues.
- Geographic scope: AFMET and CIS
- Product Scope: biosimilars in diabetes, oncology, immunology
The role largely involves 4 aspects:
- In-licensing & Out-licensing deals for the AFMET and CIS region
: - Achieve timely closure of partner selection and contract signing to ensure Business plan revenues in future and current year plan are safeguarded in terms of time, revenue, and profit margins.
- Partner selection & scanning, due diligence, drive Term sheet proposals, NPV Financial modelling with Finance and negotiate deal economics end to end with customers
- Responsible for internal and external stakeholder alignment including securing Senior Management buy-in on the deals.
- Collaborate with cross functional team from Finance, legal, SCM, Regulatory for deal alignment.
Build Annual Budget for Deal partnerships including license fee plan to meet annual target.
Strategic Forecast Plan & Budgeting of New or Existing products:
Evaluate business performance vs the deal terms signed and resolve contract term deviations. Work along side Commercial teams to work out Strat Plan by country and products – new and existing products. Track growth, price & volume analysis and derive insights for business direction in choice of country/product/ partner etc.Local manufacturing, Tech transfer deals
: Evaluate deals for tech transfer, build business case and liaise with customers and internal teams to take the project through deal negotiation and contract signing.Preparing the presentation to the Deal Review Committee [DRC] meetings, making presentations and taking approval from DRC on the Business case.
