Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Engineer with strong expertise in sheet metal fabrication. The role involves implementing and monitoring quality processes, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with customer requirements and industry standards. The candidate will play a key role in maintaining product quality and driving continuous improvement across fabrication operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-process, final inspections, and audits for sheet metal components and assemblies.
  • Inspect fabricated parts using measuring instruments such as Vernier caliper, Micrometer, Height gauge, and CMM.
  • Review engineering drawings, welding symbols, tolerances, and specifications to ensure compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards such as ISO 9001.
  • Collaborate with design, production, and suppliers to resolve quality issues.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and drive continuous improvements in sheet metal fabrication processes.
  • Monitor welding quality, surface finishing, dimensional accuracy, and assembly fitments.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma/Degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering.
  • 4 years of proven experience in Quality Control within sheet metal fabrication industry.
  • Strong knowledge of welding, fabrication processes, and finishing operations.
  • Hands-on experience with quality inspection tools (Vernier caliper, Micrometer, Dial gauge, Height gauge, etc.).
  • Knowledge of quality systems (ISO 9001 or equivalent).
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills.
