Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. This position requires strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of quality assurance processes, including HACCP principles. The Quality Engineer will collaborate with various departments to enhance product quality and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

Job Description

  • Perform in-process and final inspections of CNC machined components using various precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, profilometers, CMM).
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to verify part dimensions, tolerances, surface finishes, and other critical characteristics.
  • Conduct first-off, in-process, and final inspection of components to ensure conformity to design specifications.
  • Utilize advanced inspection equipment such as CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) and optical comparators for complex geometries.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records, including measurement data, defect reports, and corrective actions.
  • Generate quality reports for internal review and customer submission.
  • Document non-conforming materials (NCRs) and assist in root cause analysis.
  • Prepare and maintain inspection plans and checklists.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing defects, improving efficiency, and enhancing product quality.

Qualification:

  • Diploma or Bachelor of Engineering

  • Associate's degree or technical certification in Machining, Manufacturing Technology, Quality Control, or a related field is preferred

  • Experience:

  • 2-5 years of experience in quality control, inspection, or a similar role within a CNC machining environment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Hands-on experience with a wide range of precision measuring instruments.

  • Experience with CMM operation and programming is highly desirable.

  • Skills:

  • Strong understanding of CNC machining processes and principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and reporting.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with all levels of staff.
