Senior Software Architect

About the Role We're seeking our first technical hire - a Senior Software Architect who will shape the foundation of our technology stack and lead our engineering efforts from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to join a startup at its earliest stage and have significant impact on both our technical direction and company culture.

Key Responsibilities Design and architect scalable web applications from conception to deployment, making critical decisions about technology stack, frameworks, and infrastructure. Lead the development of desktop applications that integrate seamlessly with our web platform, ensuring consistent user experience across all touchpoints. Establish engineering best practices, code standards, and development workflows that will scale as we grow our team.

You'll work closely with founders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions, while building proof-of-concepts and MVPs to validate product-market fit. As our first technical team member, you'll also be hands-on with implementation, writing high-quality code across the full stack.

Required Experience 7+ years of software development experience with at least 3 years in senior or lead roles. Proven track record architecting and building complex web applications using modern frameworks (React, Vue, Angular) and backend technologies , Python, Java, or similar). Strong experience developing desktop applications using technologies like Electron, .NET, Qt, or native development for Windows/macOS.

Deep understanding of system architecture, database design, API development, and cloud infrastructure. Experience with DevOps practices including CI/CD, containerization, and deployment automation. Previous startup or early-stage company experience strongly preferred.

Technical Skills Proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks, with the ability to make informed technology choices based on project requirements. Strong knowledge of software architecture patterns, design principles, and scalability considerations. Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, caching strategies, and performance optimization.

Familiarity with modern development tools, version control systems, and project management methodologies. Understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements for web and desktop applications.
