About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Canteen Manager with a strong background in premium hospitality (5-star hotel experience preferred) to oversee the daily operations of our canteen/dining facility. The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality food presentation, excellent customer service, and smooth operations of the dining hall while maintaining hygiene and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the canteen/dining hall, ensuring smooth service for employees and guests.
- Supervise and train canteen staff on food handling, hygiene, and customer service standards.
- Ensure attractive food presentation and maintain quality standards consistent with premium hospitality practices.
- Monitor inventory, procurement, and wastage control while coordinating with vendors and suppliers.
- Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and safety in the dining area and kitchen, complying with food safety regulations.
- Handle customer feedback, resolve complaints, and maintain high levels of satisfaction.
- Plan menus, special events, and dining experiences in collaboration with culinary teams.
- Prepare reports on operations, inventory, costs, and staff performance.
- Enforce policies regarding punctuality, dress code, and discipline among canteen staff.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in food and beverage operations, preferably in 5-star hotels or premium catering.
- Strong understanding of food hygiene, safety, and presentation standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff, management, and guests.
- Ability to lead a team, manage multiple priorities, and maintain operational efficiency.
- Knowledge of inventory management, cost control, and vendor coordination.
- Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude.
- Culinary knowledge or formal training in hospitality is a plus.
