About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Canteen Manager with a strong background in premium hospitality (5-star hotel experience preferred) to oversee the daily operations of our canteen/dining facility. The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality food presentation, excellent customer service, and smooth operations of the dining hall while maintaining hygiene and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the canteen/dining hall, ensuring smooth service for employees and guests.
  • Supervise and train canteen staff on food handling, hygiene, and customer service standards.
  • Ensure attractive food presentation and maintain quality standards consistent with premium hospitality practices.
  • Monitor inventory, procurement, and wastage control while coordinating with vendors and suppliers.
  • Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and safety in the dining area and kitchen, complying with food safety regulations.
  • Handle customer feedback, resolve complaints, and maintain high levels of satisfaction.
  • Plan menus, special events, and dining experiences in collaboration with culinary teams.
  • Prepare reports on operations, inventory, costs, and staff performance.
  • Enforce policies regarding punctuality, dress code, and discipline among canteen staff.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in food and beverage operations, preferably in 5-star hotels or premium catering.
  • Strong understanding of food hygiene, safety, and presentation standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff, management, and guests.
  • Ability to lead a team, manage multiple priorities, and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Knowledge of inventory management, cost control, and vendor coordination.
  • Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude.
  • Culinary knowledge or formal training in hospitality is a plus.
