DevOps Engineer – Role Summary

The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for managing the complete DevOps lifecycle with a focus on developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, onboarding infrastructure for the ORS platform, and automating processes to reduce manual effort and improve system reliability. The role demands a strong understanding of Linux systems, scripting, observability tools, and modern DevOps methodologies. The engineer will work closely with global teams and stakeholders to foster a collaborative and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Git.

Onboard and manage infrastructure components for ORS platform.

Develop and maintain DevOps tooling and automation to optimize operations.

Drive environment stability and implement infrastructure hygiene standards.

Implement observability and telemetry using tools like Splunk, Prometheus, Loki, and Grafana.

Liaise with global teams, stakeholders, and RPE to ensure smooth delivery and support.

Manage hybrid infrastructure (cloud & on-prem) for large-scale platforms.

Support Kubernetes, Docker-based deployments and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

? Required Skills

Strong in Linux, OS fundamentals, and networking.

Advanced scripting skills in Python and Bash.

Proficient with DevOps tools – Jenkins, Git, Autosys, Terraform, etc.

Experience in observability tools – Splunk, Prometheus, Loki, Grafana.

Familiar with containerization and orchestration tools: Docker, Kubernetes.

Experience in managing cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Proactive learning attitude toward new systems and technologies.

Preferred / Nice to Have

Exposure to data domains, ETL workflows, or related data engineering concepts.

Role - Devops engineer Leverage expertise throughout the DevOps lifecycle to build and maintain CI/CD solutions. Onboard and maintain infrastructure components for the ORS platform. Develop/maintain DevOps tooling and automation solutions to reduce toil and optimize processes. Drive the environment stability initiatives, lay the foundations for adoption of automation, meeting Firm's infrastructure and software hygiene requirements. Implement observability/telemetry solutions by leveraging both cloud-native and open-source tools for complex systems. Liaise with stakeholders, global team members and RPE, fostering an inclusive and positive working environment in the team. Required: Strong understanding of Linux systems, OS fundamentals & networking. Strong scripting experience in Python and Bash. Experience with modern DevOps tools and practices including Git, Jenkins, CI/CD, Autosys, Observability tooling (Splunk, Prometheus, Loki, Grafana, etc.), laC, etc. Understanding of modern distributed systems architecture (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.) Experience in procuring and maintaining both cloud and on-prem for large platforms. Experience with any of the public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Good analytical capability, logical problem-solving skills and be ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. Willingness to learn new systems and technologies. Desired: Experience in data domains and ETL workflows.
