Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality management systems specifically tailored to the lithium-ion battery manufacturing process, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Lead quality assurance activities throughout the battery production lifecycle, including incoming materials inspection, manufacturing processes, and final product testing.
- Establish and maintain rigorous quality control measures to monitor critical parameters and ensure the consistency and reliability of battery performance.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to evaluate adherence to quality standards, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, engineering, operations, and supply chain, to address quality-related issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Analyze quality data and metrics to track performance trends, identify root causes of defects or failures, and implement preventive measures to mitigate future risks.
- Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on quality standards, best practices, and safety protocols relevant to lithium-ion battery manufacturing.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to lithium-ion battery manufacturing, and ensure that our quality management systems remain current and effective.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies, to foster a culture of quality excellence and trust.
- Drive a culture of quality consciousness and accountability throughout the organization, emphasizing the importance of quality in all aspects of our operations.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, materials science, chemistry, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 10 years of experience in quality management, preferably in the lithium-ion battery industry or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of lithium-ion battery manufacturing processes, quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001), and regulatory requirements (e.g., UN38.3, IEC
- Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies, such as Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Design of Experiments (DOE).
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to drive cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a systematic approach to quality management.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
- Certification as a Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) is a plus.
