Job Title: Solar Project Engineer (Field Engineer)

Location: Ambattur

Experience: 0–5 years in solar project execution / field engineering

Qualification: Diploma/Degree in Electrical / Renewable Energy Engineering

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Project Engineer (Field Engineer) to oversee on-site execution of solar projects, ensuring quality, safety, and timely completion. The candidate will be responsible for installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of solar power systems, while coordinating with project managers, contractors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and execute installation of rooftop and ground-mounted solar power systems.
  • Perform site surveys, feasibility assessments, and prepare site readiness reports.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, electrical codes, and quality requirements.
  • Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of solar systems and inverters.
  • Monitor project timelines, material handling, and manpower allocation at site.
  • Provide technical support to clients and ensure proper documentation of project activities.
  • Prepare daily/weekly site reports and update project progress to management.
  • Support operation and maintenance activities post-project completion.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong technical knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, electrical wiring, and safety standards.
  • Hands-on experience in site execution, testing, and commissioning.
  • Good communication and leadership skills to manage site teams and contractors.
  • Problem-solving ability with attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to project sites.
