Job Description

  • Receive and review purchase indents for bought-out items (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, etc.).
  • Float inquiries, obtain quotations, and prepare comparative statements.
  • Finalize vendors based on technical and commercial evaluation in coordination with engineering and projects.
  • Issue purchase orders (POs) in line with project requirements and timelines.
  • Identify and develop new suppliers for critical and specialized items.
  • Ensure suppliers comply with quality, documentation, and delivery standards.
  • Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost efficiency.
  • Analyze cost breakups and propose cost-saving initiatives.
  • Track purchase orders and follow up with vendors for timely delivery.
  • Coordinate with stores, logistics, and quality teams for material inspection and receipt.
  • Support the project team with updated material delivery status and vendor documents (e.g., drawings, test certificates, etc.).
