In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Directs, leads, and manages the Pune Technology team engaged with multiple business verticals
- Lead and oversee the site's software and firmware development teams, encouraging a culture of innovation and delivery
- Build and mentor a high-performance team of AI/ML professionals in alignment with Organization long-term plans
- Interact with Technology Leadership across Emerson to develop short term and long-term strategic plan.
- Contribute to the increase in the department's value delivery through a combination of processes, personnel, and automation that drives improved productivity in the development of our products
- Participate in the definition of technical vision, strategy and roadmap, then implement them
- Ensure high performance and accountability through leading a multi-functional team comprising software development managers and ART leadership
- Cultivate an innovative environment that encourages openness, collaboration and professional growth
- Work with other department leaders to optimize team and cross-site performance
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and define outstanding processes
- Stay knowledgeable about tools, methods, relevant trends and technologies for software and firmware development
Attract, develop and retain qualified and skilled staff and workforce. Mentor, coach, appraise employees and build a strong leadership team

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Computer Science, 20+ years of relevant experience
- 10+ years of leadership experience in software development, successfully leading multiple high-performing teams comprising 150+ software professionals in large-scale development environments
- Strong background in software development lifecycle, with deep understanding of technologies, tools, and processes across development, testing, and maintenance phases
- Exposure towards AI/ML technologies, frameworks, and industry trends
- Demonstrated abilities in leading and driving performance
- Excellent leadership, communication and partner management skills
- Strong background in Agile software development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or other frameworks)
Willingness and ability to work flexible hours to collaborate with both local and remote sites, including occasional domestic and international travels
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- Knowledge or experience in the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or other large-scale Agile frameworks
- Deep understanding of software architecture, embedded firmware development, DevOps, and CI/CD standard processes.
- Experience with AI/ML, IoT or edge computing in process control applications
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity and compliance in industrial software
- Experience with industrial automation products or technologies
