Position Overview:
As a Sous Chef, you will be the backbone of our culinary operations, assisting the Executive Chef in managing kitchen activities, supervising staff, maintaining high food quality, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. You will play a vital role in menu creation, food presentation, and maintaining hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in planning and directing food preparation.
- Supervise kitchen staff and ensure training, discipline, and motivation.
- Maintain consistency and quality of food preparation and presentation.
- Monitor inventory, food cost, and kitchen supplies.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Support in creating seasonal menus and innovative dishes.
- Handle kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a reputed property.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, international and Indian cuisines.
- Ability to manage and train a team under pressure.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Understanding of food cost control and inventory management.
- Diploma/Degree in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management preferred.
