Assistant Manager – HR

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically strong
HR Manager
to manage core HR operations with a focus on HRMIS administration, payroll processing, and statutory compliance. This role demands hands-on expertise in data management, Excel-based analytics and a working knowledge of Indian labour laws and income tax regulations. The ideal candidate will be a systems thinker with a knack for precision and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities
·
HRMIS & Database Management
o Administer and maintain HR databases, platforms and business tools (e.g. Greyt HR, Tableau etc.)
o Responsible for the overall operation of the HRMIS and allied systems
o Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and timely updates across employee lifecycle processes
o Generate dashboards and reports for leadership and audit purposes

Payroll Administration
o Responsible for monthly payroll processing, including salary computation, reimbursements and deductions
o Coordinate and work closely with Finance for disbursements and statutory filings
o Manage full & final settlements and ensure timely issuance of payslips and Form 16
·
Compliance & Statutory Reporting
o Responsible to ensure adherence to all applicable labour laws (e.g., Shops & Establishments Act, Payment of Wages Act, PF, ESI, Gratuity, POSH etc)
o Stay updated on changes in income tax regulations and ensure TDS compliance
o Liaise with auditors and government bodies for inspections and filings

Data Analytics & Reporting
o Build and maintain HR dashboards using Excel, PowerPoint and Tableau
o Responsible for reports with analysis on attrition, headcount trends, compensation structures and other workforce metrics

HR Administrative Oversight
o Support documentation, employee records, and HR file management
o Assist in vendor coordination for HR-related services (e.g., insurance, background checks)
Required Skills & Competencies

Absolutely Mandatory
: Advanced proficiency in
Microsoft Excel
(pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros) and
PowerPoint
·
Preferred
: Working knowledge and experience of HR Business Tools with strong understanding of
HRMIS platforms
and database structures
· Deep understanding and working knowledge of
Indian labour laws
and
income tax regulations
· Analytical mindset with attention to detail and process orientation
· Ability to manage confidential data with integrity and discretion
· Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Qualifications & Experience
· Bachelor or Master's degree in HR and/or related field
· years of experience in HR operations, payroll, and compliance

Prior experience with HRMIS implementation or administration preferred
· Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement and operational efficiencies
