About the Role:

We are currently looking for an experienced Technical Engineer to join our facilities management team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC, electrical systems, and general maintenance, with prior experience working in large-scale commercial or retail environments.

This is a hands-on role that requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to respond quickly and efficiently to the operational needs of a busy shopping mall.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and carry out daily operations, inspections, and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other critical systems.

Monitor and maintain building systems through BMS and other control platforms.

Respond to maintenance requests and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure tenant satisfaction.

Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized repair and servicing tasks.

Ensure all systems are operating safely, efficiently, and in compliance with local regulations and mall standards.

Assist in the preparation of maintenance schedules, reports, and documentation.

Support energy-saving and sustainability initiatives.

Conduct risk assessments and ensure adherence to health and safety standards.

Provide technical input during refurbishments, fit-outs, and new installations within the mall.

Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.

Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in facility management within a shopping mall or commercial retail environment.

Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical distribution, generators, fire alarm systems, and other MEP equipment.

Proficiency in BMS and CMMS platforms.

Solid understanding of safety regulations and statutory compliance.

Good communication and team coordination skills.

Relevant technical certifications (HVAC, electrical, safety) are a plus.
