Job Purpose

• To devise effective strategies and adopt best in class fraud management practices for maintaining the issuance fraud-to-sales ratio at optimum levels.
• To ensure acquiring fraud-to-sales ratio is maintained within the agreed benchmarks by adopting acquiring risk best practices & strategies.
• Review processes, policies and systems on digital banking portfolio and ensure adequate controls are put in place/initiated.
• To create strategic approaches for prevention and monitoring of Mule accounts.
• To ensure that effective rules along with Analytics vertical are in place which ensure that the Mule accounts are identified proactively.
• Engage with liability heads, Cluster heads on process improvements related to mule.
• To have an effective and efficient framework for mule activities at Banks end. To ensure that the processes and policies are modified basis market dynamics and regulatory norms.
• To ensure fraud losses are kept at minimum levels across Issuance, Acquiring & Digital banking portfolios.
• To initiate necessary preparedness from process perspective on all new initiatives.
• Park necessary requirements with IT teams on new/enhancing the existing fraud prevention systems in line with the portfolio growth & anticipated trends.
• To ensure return on investment on all IT investments, drive cost initiatives for the unit by implementing cost saving & productivity enhancing measures.
• To build a strong, dynamic line, self-driven team with the ability to proactively build controls for effective prevention and early detection of frauds.

• Portfolio Performance:
• To devise effective strategies and adopt best in class fraud management practices for maintaining the Issuance fraud-to-sales ratio at optimum levels.
• To ensure Acquiring fraud-to-sales ratio is maintained within the agreed benchmarks by adopting acquiring risk best practices & strategies.
• Review processes, policies and systems on digital banking portfolio and ensure adequate controls are put in place/initiated.
• To ensure fraud losses are kept at minimum levels across Issuance, Acquiring & Digital banking portfolios.
• To initiate necessary preparedness from process perspective on all new initiatives.
• Reviewing the portfolio of the region by ensuring investigations of MHA cases, non-starter, early mortality cases, and cases referred by Collections for identification of Mule cases.
• Creation and effectiveness of rules, mapping the same with MHA alerts.
• Usage of suspect registry in Bank's onboarding and transaction monitoring processes.

Systems/Projects

• Engage with Business teams and card schemes to understand the business growth and the anticipated trends.
• Driving the team to log relevant projects with IT team to ensure unit's preparedness on the anticipated fraud trends.
• To ensure return on investment on all IT investments, drive cost initiatives for the unit by implementing cost saving & productivity enhancing measures.
• Evaluate the gaps and scope for enhancements in the current systems in line with the fraud trends, log projects with IT and take it to logical closure by way of timely implementation.

Strategic Initiatives

• Devise strategies according to the business dynamics on payment business, digital/e-commerce banking from fraud prevention perspective.
• Provide strategic inputs for efficient and effective fraud detection methods and practices.

People Management

• To build a strong, dynamic line, self-driven team with the ability to proactively build controls for effective prevention and early detection of frauds.

Compliance and Reporting

• Ensure compliance parameters are met & managed.
• Ensure adherence to Franchisee & regulatory norms.

Educational Qualifications

• Graduate or Post graduate/Could be from other streams such as Engineering etc /Statistical background will be added advantage.

Experience Required

• Experience in
  MULE & Digital banking
  is a must.
• Should have minimum 15 to 20 years prior experience.
• Experience in managing systems, driving strategy & central processes will be an added advantage.
• Should possess good Communication skills – verbal, written & presentation.
• Proactive, Self-driven.
• Should have solution oriented, cost conscious approach.
• Ability to drive a result oriented, dynamic team & better the performance.
• Should make him/herself relevant to the current developments in the payments industry.
