Role Overview

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for acquiring, onboarding, training, and managing partners within an assigned territory. The role blends sales, relationship management, partner enablement, and performance accountability.

The core objective is to build a strong partner ecosystem, ensure consistent qualified student leads, and support partners in achieving monthly targets.

Key Responsibilities

1.     
Partner Acquisition & Expansion

o  Identify and onboard potential partners in the region.

o  Present CollegePond's partner model and value proposition.

o  Complete due diligence and finalize onboarding.

2.     
Partner Onboarding & Training

o  Conduct structured onboarding sessions.

o  Train partners to identify and qualify genuine student leads.

3.     
Partner Relationship Management

o  Serve as the primary point of contact for partners.

o  Conduct regular performance reviews and engagement meetings.

4.     
Sales Target Setting & Achievement

o  Set monthly student lead targets.

o  Support partners with strategies and coaching to achieve targets.

5.     
Performance Monitoring & Reporting

o  Track KPIs: lead volume, quality, conversions, productivity.

o  Prepare periodic business performance reports.

6.     
Market Intelligence & Regional Growth

o  Monitor regional trends and competitor activities.

o  Recommend expansion opportunities and support local events.

Required Skills & Experience

Experience

  • 4–6 years in Business Development or Channel Sales.

  • Experience in managing education partners preferred.

  • Ability to train partners effectively

  • Willingness to travel regionally

  • Familiarity with CRM or reporting tools

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or related fields.
