About Gender Practice
Our Gender Practice focuses on advancing women's economic empowerment and leadership. We work across value chains, entrepreneurship, and workforce ecosystems to embed gender inclusion as a strategic lever for growth and resilience.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Consultant to help shape and deliver the next phase of the Gender Practice's growth. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, delivery, and ecosystem building — ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, engaging senior stakeholders, and turning ideas into results.
You will work closely with the practice leadership to deliver high-impact projects, drive new opportunities, and strengthen the practice's intellectual backbone.
What You'll Do
1. Lead Project Delivery and Client Engagement
- Manage end-to-end delivery of consulting projects focused on gender and inclusion — from problem definition to final recommendations.
- Structure analyses, facilitate workshops, and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Serve as day-to-day client lead, ensuring quality, timeliness, and clarity across all deliverables.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and partners to ensure seamless execution and measurable outcomes.
2. Drive Business Growth and Ecosystem Partnerships
- Identify and pursue new opportunities across corporates, foundations, and ecosystem actors.
- Develop compelling proposals, decks, and concept notes grounded in research and insight.
- Contribute to thought leadership and convenings that expand the practice's visibility and influence.
3. Build Frameworks and Knowledge Assets
- Codify learnings from projects into reusable tools, playbooks, and sector frameworks.
- Strengthen internal capabilities by capturing best practices and building collaborative systems for knowledge sharing.
- 4–6 years of experience in consulting, strategy, or development sectors with exposure to gender, livelihoods, or inclusion.
- Strong project-management skills — able to plan, prioritize, and deliver complex workstreams with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and communicate with clarity and empathy.
- Excellent analytical, writing, and presentation skills; comfort translating insights into structured narratives.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, intellectual curiosity, and passion for advancing gender equity through systems change.
