Job Summary

Location: Chennai

We are looking for an accomplished and result-oriented Sales Head to lead our sales function. The Sales Head will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive revenue growth, expand market reach, and strengthen our presence in the trading sector. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of trading dynamics, product market trends, and a strong network of industry contacts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve business objectives and revenue targets.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to deliver exceptional performance and achieve individual and collective targets.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across domestic and international markets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, vendors, suppliers, and channel partners.
  • Analyse market trends and customer needs to inform strategy and identify growth opportunities.
  • Drive pricing strategies and negotiate major contracts to ensure profitability and long-term partnerships.
  • Oversee sales operations, including lead generation, conversion tracking, and customer relationship management.
  • Prepare detailed sales forecasts, budgets, and periodic performance reports for senior management.
  • Collaborate closely with the procurement and logistics teams to ensure seamless execution of orders and high customer satisfaction.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to strengthen brand presence and develop new connections.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum
    10 years of experience in sales
    , with at least
    3-5 years in a leadership role
    in the trading or product distribution industry.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and achieving revenue targets in the trading sector.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain, procurement, and product life cycle in trading businesses.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong negotiation, networking, and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and make decisive decisions under pressure.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.
