Role Description
The
Business Development (Sales)
role is responsible for driving program enrolments, building strong client relationships, and achieving revenue growth targets through structured consultative selling methods. The position requires high levels of discipline, communication, and strategic execution aligned with smmart's mission of transforming entrepreneurs and SMEs.
Key Responsibilities :-
1. Revenue Generation
Achieve monthly and quarterly enrolment targets as set by the Departmental Head, ensuring consistent contribution to departmental revenue goals.
2. Customer Acquisition & Meetings
Conduct 18–25 meetings per week with SME and entrepreneur prospects to present smmart's offerings, identify needs, and close deals through consultative selling.
3. Lead Management
Track, manage, and follow up on all incoming leads from CRM, reviewers, campaigns, and references to maintain a healthy and active sales pipeline.
4. Sales Presentations & Consultations
Conduct structured, solution-oriented sales presentations using smmart's proprietary frameworks —

— to deliver high-impact consultations.
5. Conversion & Closures
Handle client objections effectively, recommend suitable programs, and ensure quick conversion from inquiry to closure while maintaining quality engagement.
6. CRM Reporting & Documentation
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of meetings, lead status, closure details, and pipeline forecasts in

for transparent reporting and performance tracking.
