Position Overview

We are looking for an ambitious and dynamic Sr. Business Development Associate to drive the growth of our online higher education programs. The ideal candidate will identify new business opportunities, form strategic partnerships, and expand Shiksolve's market presence in the education sector. This role requires strong communication, relationship-building with educational institutions, and a deep understanding of the online education landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development & Lead Generation

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities by targeting universities, colleges, and educational institutions to promote our online programs.

  • Develop and implement strategies to generate leads through events, digital outreach, and cold calling.
  • Cultivate long-term relationships with academic institutions, corporate partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Conduct research to identify potential clients and develop customized solutions to meet their educational needs.

  • Sales & Partnership Management

  • Lead the sales process for acquiring new institutions and corporate partners for online programs.

  • Present Shiksolve's offerings through compelling presentations, proposals, and demonstrations.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure mutually beneficial relationships and revenue growth.
  • Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, including post-sale follow-up, relationship management, and upselling opportunities.

  • Strategic Planning & Market Expansion

  • Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with Shiksolve's growth objectives.

  • Analyze the competitive landscape, monitor industry trends, and identify emerging opportunities in online education.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product development, and customer support teams to ensure alignment between business objectives and offerings.

  • Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and retention.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for business development matters and provide high-level client support.
  • Conduct regular check-ins to identify new needs and upsell Shiksolve's services.

  • Reporting & Performance Analysis

  • Track and report on business development performance, including activities, pipeline, revenue forecasts, and key metrics.

  • Provide regular feedback to leadership on market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities.

  • Collaboration & Teamwork

  • Work with marketing to create materials and campaigns that support business development goals.

  • Coordinate with product and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery and implementation of online programs.
  • Participate in team meetings and share insights to continuously improve processes.

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Education, or a related field (Master's degree or MBA is a plus).
  • 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or partnerships, preferably in EdTech or online education.
  • Strong understanding of the online education market, industry trends, and customer needs.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with senior executives, university representatives, and corporate decision-makers.
  • Self-starter with a strong drive to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
