Job Summary

The Quality Controller is responsible for inspecting, testing, and evaluating materials, products, and processes to ensure they meet established quality standards and customer requirements. This role ensures that production outputs are consistent, compliant, and free of defects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, in-process items, and finished products.
  • Record inspection results and maintain accurate quality documentation.
  • Identify defects, deviations, or non-conformities and report them to the relevant departments.
  • Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure all quality procedures and specifications are consistently followed.
  • Perform product tests such as measurements, visual inspections, and functional checks.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce waste.
  • Maintain equipment used for quality checks and ensure calibration is up-to-date.
  • Assist in training staff on quality standards, policies, and inspection techniques.
  • Prepare quality reports and participate in internal audits when required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, vocational training, or degree in a related field (e.g., Quality Assurance, Engineering, Manufacturing).
  • Experience in a quality control or inspection role is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of quality standards (ISO, GMP, HACCP, etc., depending on industry).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, or product requirements.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with production teams.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and report preparation.
