Key responsibilities:

  • Establish Quality Standards:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive quality standards for all apparel products, including fabric specifications, construction techniques, and finish details, aligning with customer requirements and industry regulations. 
  • Production Monitoring:
  • Conduct regular inspections at various stages of production, from raw material receiving to final garment inspection, to identify potential quality defects and non-conformances. 
  • Defect Analysis:
  • Analyze identified quality issues to determine root causes, implement preventive measures, and work with production teams to address and rectify problems effectively. 
  • Quality Control Team Leadership:
  • Manage and develop a team of quality inspectors, assigning tasks, providing training, and evaluating performance to ensure consistent quality assessment across production lines. 
  • Customer Communication:
  • Collaborate with sales and merchandising teams to understand customer expectations, communicate quality concerns, and ensure timely resolution of any quality-related issues. 
  • Compliance Management:
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant industry standards, certifications (e.g., ISO 9001), and regulatory requirements related to apparel production and quality. 
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Track and analyze quality data to identify trends, generate reports for management, and present findings to inform decision-making. 
  • Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities to optimize quality control processes, implement new methodologies, and continuously improve efficiency within the production environment.

  • Deep understanding of apparel manufacturing processes, fabric properties, construction techniques, and quality control methodologies.

  • Ability to motivate and manage a team of quality inspectors, fostering a culture of quality focus within the production facility.
