Project Manager for Payments

Location: Bangalore / Thiruvananthapuram and flexible to travel onsite (one of the Middle East countries)

Seeking an experienced Project Manager for Payments to lead and manage payment system initiatives across banking and financial services. The role requires strong domain expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to drive cross-functional teams toward successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end project delivery for payment system implementations and upgrades

  • Define project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource plans

  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with business objectives

  • Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and external partners for seamless execution

  • Oversee risk management, issue resolution, and change control processes

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal governance frameworks

  • Track project KPIs, prepare status reports, and present updates to senior leadership

  • Build and mentor project teams, ensuring high performance and collaboration

  • Facilitate workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and UAT planning

  • Drive continuous improvement and adoption of best practices in project execution

Required Skills Experience:

  • Experienced IT project management with strong exposure to payment systems

  • Domain: Deep understanding of retail and corporate payments, payment gateways, and transaction processing

  • Methodologies: Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid delivery models

  • Tools: Project management tools (JIRA, MS Project, Confluence), reporting dashboards

  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex stakeholder environments

  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
