Material Management Lead

Role Purpose

The purpose of a Materials Lead is to oversee the planning and coordination of a company's inventory and procurement of material as per sales plan.

Role Summary

Prepare the procurement plan against the sales plan within 2 days from receipt of the plan. Ensure all materials reached before the production plan with correct quantity and quality. Account the purchase bill within time. Ensure materials reach on proper time as per plan and ensure all physical checks of materials are done at the time of arrival. Identification excess material arrival and actionable

Job Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities (TDR)

• Ensure materials reach on proper time as per plan and ensure all physical checks of materials are done at the time of arrival. Identification excess material arrival and actionable
• Understanding the materials for the production and as per production plan source the materials and to avoid production loss due to material shortage. Purchase as per the requirement on the basis of lead time and fund availability.
• Ensure checking the stock of all materials in the unit on daily basis and Physical stock verification on monthly basis
• Checking the quality of materials through physical check and reporting to Vendors through

Division and send sample to division for quality checking and lab test

• Avoid Dead and non moving Stocks in the unit
• Preparation of BOM with help of operation team
• GRN assurance and if any variance noticed intimation pass to Division and unit finance team
• Account the purchase bill accurately and timely and check the quantity and rate asper the PO
• Google drive updation

Experience: 2-3 Years of experience

• Working knowledge of tools like MS Office suite with special focus on Spreadsheet applications.

Depending upon the size of the plant, this role may or may not have any supervisory accountability.
