Position Summary:

The Area Sales Manager (ASM) will be responsible for driving sales in the trade sector, managing relationships with key distributors, dealers, and wholesalers, and ensuring the delivery of sales targets for the region. The role demands a combination of strategic leadership, operational efficiency, and technical understanding of hardware products. This position is essential in promoting the company's hardware products to the trade channel and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction while achieving growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Revenue Generation:

  • Develop and implement the sales strategy for the assigned territory.
  • Identify and target new business opportunities within the trade sector.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, ensuring consistent growth and market penetration.

  • Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential trade customers, including dealers, distributors, and wholesalers.
  • Regularly meet with key customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the assigned region and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Market Expansion:
  • Identify potential new accounts and expand the customer base in the region.
  • Monitor competitor activities, product offerings, and market trends to adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Promote the company's brand and ensure the proper positioning of products in the market.

Criteria

  • Education:

    Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. (Advanced qualifications or certifications in sales are a plus.)
  • Experience:
  • At least 3-5 years of sales experience in the hardware, construction, or related trade industry.
  • Proven experience in managing trade sales and dealer networks.
  • Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Skills & Competencies:
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong understanding of the hardware products and their applications in the trade sector.
  • Ability to identify market trends and customer needs.
  • High level of organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
