Job Summary

The Business Development Executive (Retail) is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, expanding the customer base, and driving revenue growth through strategic partnerships and client engagement. This role plays a key part in scaling retail operations and enhancing brand presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across retail channels.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, trends, and competitor activity.
  • Generate leads through networking, cold calling, and digital outreach.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop promotional strategies.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet revenue targets.
  • Track sales performance and report on business development activities.
  • Attend industry events, exhibitions, and trade shows to represent the brand.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in retail.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple client accounts.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office Suite.
  • Goal-oriented mindset with a passion for growth.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in B2B retail partnerships or franchise development.
  • Familiarity with omni-channel retail strategies.
  • Certification in Sales or Business Development.
