Job Summary:

The Learning and Development Specialist/Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing training programs to enhance employee skills and performance. This role involves conducting training needs assessments, developing educational content, and evaluating the effectiveness of training initiatives to support the overall goals and objectives of the organization.

Role & responsibilities :

  • Training Needs Analysis:

  • Conduct regular assessments to identify training and development needs within the organization.

  • Collaborate with department heads and managers to understand specific training requirements.

  • Program Design and Development:

  • Develop and design engaging training programs and materials, including e-learning modules, workshops, seminars, and on-the-job training.

  • Ensure that training programs align with organizational objectives and industry best practices.

  • Implementation and Delivery:

  • Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and other educational programs, both in-person and virtually.

  • Coordinate with external trainers and vendors as necessary.

  • Evaluation and Feedback:

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.

  • Make data-driven recommendations for program improvements and adjustments.

  • Learning Management System (LMS) Administration:

  • Manage and maintain the organizations LMS, including user access, content updates, and reporting.

  • Ensure the LMS is utilized effectively to support employee learning and development.

  • Employee Development Plans:

  • Assist in the creation and management of individual development plans (IDPs) for employees.

  • Provide coaching and support to employees and managers in developing career growth opportunities.

  • Compliance and Certification:

  • Ensure that all training programs comply with industry standards and legal requirements.

  • Manage and track certifications and mandatory training for employees.

  • Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage the L&D budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.

  • Source and negotiate with external training providers to optimize training investments.

  • Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare regular reports on training activities, outcomes, and ROI for senior management.

Preferred candidate profile

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency with LMS and e-learning platforms.
  • Analytical skills to assess training needs and program effectiveness.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.

Competencies:

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to align training initiatives with business goals and strategies.
  • Creativity and Innovation: Develop innovative and engaging training solutions.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Experience:

  • 5-10 years of experience in L&D or a related field

  • Preferred Industry : Shared Service, F&A, IteS/BPO, Manufacturing
