Role Overview

The Manager Contracts will be responsible for end-to-end contract management across development projects, ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and seamless coordination between internal teams, consultants, and contractors. The role demands strong commercial acumen, legal understanding, and negotiation skills, particularly within the luxury real estate space.

Responsibility:

Contract Drafting & Review

  • Draft, review, and finalize contracts, agreements, and work orders for consultants, contractors, vendors, and service providers.
  • Ensure contracts align with company policies, project requirements, and statutory obligations.

Commercial & Legal Risk Management

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks in contracts, including liability, timelines, penalties, and deliverables.
  • Liaise with legal teams/external counsel on complex contract issues.

Vendor & Contractor Management

  • Support procurement and project teams in vendor evaluation, negotiation, and contract finalization.
  • Monitor vendor compliance with agreed contractual obligations.
  • Financial & Claims Management
  • Support cost control by ensuring clarity on scope, deliverables, and payment terms in all contracts.
  • Evaluate and resolve claims, variations, and disputes in coordination with project, legal, and finance teams.

Project Coordination

  • Work closely with project management, design, procurement, and legal teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Maintain contract records, dashboards, and MIS for management reporting.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure adherence to RERA, labour laws, municipal approvals, and other statutory requirements.
  • Maintain best practices in documentation, process control, and contract lifecycle management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Civil Engineering, or related field; Master's in Contract/Commercial Management or MBA preferred.

Experience:

  • 7–10 years of experience in contracts management within real estate, infrastructure, or construction industry; luxury/lifestyle projects preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, construction contracts (FIDIC/other), and regulatory frameworks (RERA, municipal laws, etc.).
  • Proven experience in negotiation, claims management, and dispute resolution.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
