Job Title: Area Manager (Operations & P&L)

Company: Mega Freight Movers Limited

Location: Kolkata (Calcutta)

Salary: As per company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee operations and profitability (P&L) for 5–6 branches within the assigned area.
  • Achieve branch revenue and contribution margin targets.
  • Ensure 95%+ on-time vehicle placement and delivery with minimal claims.
  • Regularly visit branches to monitor performance, compliance, and discipline.
  • Audit branch operations to ensure transparency and adherence to company policies.
  • Control and approve branch expenses in line with company budgets.
  • Develop and maintain vendor relationships to ensure timely truck placement.
  • Negotiate lorry hire rates to support the traffic team and optimize costs.
  • Coordinate with clients, resolve operational issues, and ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Manage and motivate branch teams to maintain operational efficiency and compliance.

Candidate Profile:

  • Graduate (any discipline).
  • 5–8 years of experience in branch operations / transport management, preferably in FTL road transport.
  • Strong commercial acumen, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple branches and lead operational teams.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
