Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive
Business Development Associate
with
3-6 years of experience
to drive client acquisition in the
US financial services sector
. The ideal candidate will be responsible for
outbound prospecting
, managing a sales pipeline, and nurturing leads to offer services such as
accounting, bookkeeping, auditing, and taxation
. You must have a deep understanding of core accounting principles and a proven ability to use a consultative sales approach to build relationships and close new client deals.
Job Description
- 3-6 years
of relevant experience in business development, sales, or a client-facing role within the financial services sector. - Expertise in
client prospecting, lead generation, and sales pipeline management
for professional services. - 3+ years
of experience in a client-facing role, with a particular focus on offering financial services like
accounting, bookkeeping, auditing, and taxation
to US clients. - 3+ years
of a quantifiable, proven sales track record in a service-oriented market. - Experience in sales, business development, and lead nurturing.
- A deep understanding of core accounting principles, including U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and common tax compliance and auditing standards preferred.
- Deep knowledge of, and fluency in, client financial pain points related to revenue, operational expenses, and internal financial controls.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers by leveraging financial expertise.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with internal accounting teams to scope projects and present tailored solutions.
- A dual focus on originating new client relationships and serving as a subject matter expert to close deals.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; proactive and results-driven.
Desired Experience
- Hands-on experience in
outbound prospecting
, managing a sales pipeline, and providing initial financial consultations to potential clients. - Ability to understand and apply consultative sales methodologies to identify client needs and position financial services as a strategic advantage.
- Broad existing experience across various industries to immediately understand a prospective client's financial context.
- Understanding the nuances of the sales process, from initial contact through to the contract-signing stage.
- Ability to engage with business owners and senior executives to serve as a consultative financial partner.
- Familiarity with financial software and technology to effectively communicate their value proposition to prospective clients.
Qualification and Skills
- A Bachelor's degree is required.
- An
MBA in Marketing
or a related field is preferred. - Be self-motivated and comfortable with
sales quota attainment
, ongoing relationship management, and a can-do mentality required in an early-stage channel of the organization. - Focus on industry and customer insights and the conversion of those insights into opportunities.
- In-depth industry knowledge and the ability to propose potential external partnerships and Medicare Advantage.
