Job Summary

We are hiring a sharp, highly motivated Junior IT & Systems Technician to be the backbone of our creative studio's technology. This hands-on, entry-level role is ideal for a fresher passionate about hardware, troubleshooting, and learning modern IT practices, including the use of AI for efficiency. You will be directly responsible for system performance, network stability, and managing our custom-built workstations.

Nature of Work and Core Responsibilities

The work is hands-on, covering both hardware maintenance and software support.

Hardware and System Management:

• Computer Assembly: Procure components and build new desktop computers from scratch for new hires and hardware upgrades, ensuring cost-efficiency and optimal performance for creative software.
• Maintenance & Repair: Diagnose and repair hardware malfunctions (e.g., replacing RAM, fixing storage issues, swapping components).
• Inventory: Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets, including computers, monitors, peripherals, and software licenses.
• Printer/Peripheral Support: Manage and troubleshoot all office equipment such as printers, scanners, and webcams.

Software and Network Support:

• Helpdesk / First-Level Support: Provide prompt technical support to staff regarding operating system issues (Windows/Mac), software installation, and general user queries.
• System Setup: Install, configure, and update operating systems and core application software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, creative 3D tools).
• Network & Internet: Monitor the local area network (LAN) and Wi-Fi connectivity, ensuring reliable and fast internet access for the entire team. Troubleshoot basic router and modem issues.
• Data Backup: Assist in implementing and monitoring routine data backup procedures to protect critical studio data.

AI Tool Integration and Process Efficiency (The Future Focus)

• AI for IT: Explore and integrate accessible AI tools (like generative AI assistants) to automate routine IT tasks, improve documentation clarity, or quickly research complex technical issues.
• Documentation: Utilize AI tools to assist in generating clear, concise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and troubleshooting guides for common staff problems.

Software and Technology to Know

The ideal candidate should have a foundation in both operating systems and basic IT infrastructure:

• Operating Systems: Strong working knowledge of Windows administration (installation, user accounts, security) and familiarity with macOS.
• Software Suites: Experience installing and troubleshooting common software packages like the Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace.
• Security & Networking: Basic understanding of TCP/IP, Wi-Fi configuration, and general IT security practices (antivirus, strong passwords).
• Hardware Knowledge: Expertise in PC component identification (CPU, GPU, Motherboard, RAM, SSD), and the step-by-step process of assembling a computer from parts.

Hard Skills (Technical Competencies):

• Hardware Assembly & Troubleshooting: Proven ability to physically assemble, upgrade, and repair desktop computers efficiently.
• Command Line/Scripting: Basic knowledge of command-line tools for diagnostics and simple automation (a plus, but not required).
• Diagnostic Skills: A systematic and logical approach to diagnosing both hardware failures and software bugs.

Soft Skills (Personal Attributes):

• Patience and Service: Excellent customer service mentality, crucial for supporting creative staff who may not be technically inclined.
• Resourcefulness: The ability to use online documentation, forums, and vendor support to find solutions to unfamiliar technical problems independently.
• Clear Communication: The capacity to explain complex technical issues in simple, non-technical language to end-users.
• Documentation: A habit of documenting troubleshooting steps, system configurations, and inventory accurately.

Salary: Will be decided as per your expertise and skillset. We are looking for high-potential freshers eager to grow with us.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher, Internship, Freelance

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: ₹7, ₹25,000.00 per month
