Job Objective

To ensure the quality, safety, and compliance of poultry feed, premixes, and feed additives by conducting chemical analysis, maintaining regulatory standards, and supporting continuous improvement in product quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct chemical analysis of raw materials, premixes, and finished feed products as per defined specifications.
  • Test for proximate composition (moisture, protein, fat, fiber, ash, etc.), amino acids, vitamins, and minerals in feed and additives.
  • Perform quality checks for feed additives such as enzymes, probiotics, organic acids, and supplements.
  • Ensure compliance with FSSAI, BIS, GMP, and ISO standards applicable to feed and nutrition products.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, HPLC, GC, AAS, and NIR analyzers.
  • Support method development, validation, and standardization for routine and specialized feed analysis.
  • Maintain proper documentation, logbooks, COAs (Certificates of Analysis), and regulatory records.
  • Monitor and report on stability, shelf-life, and contamination (mycotoxins, aflatoxins, heavy metals, etc.).
  • Assist in internal and external audits, regulatory inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with production, procurement, and R&D teams to ensure raw material and product quality.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: M.Sc. in Chemistry / Analytical Chemistry / Animal Nutrition / Food Technology (or equivalent).
  • Experience: 2–4 years in Quality Control / Quality Analysis in poultry feed, premix, or feed additives industry.
  • Strong knowledge of feed composition, additive analysis, and regulatory norms.

Key Skills

  • Expertise in feed chemistry and additives testing.
  • Knowledge of nutritional standards and regulatory guidelines (FSSAI, BIS, GMP, HACCP).
  • Proficiency in handling analytical instruments (HPLC, GC, AAS, UV, NIR, etc.).
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and documentation accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Note: Candidates with relevant experience in Poultry Feed & Feed Additives will be given preference.
