Our focus is to scale the deployment of drones under government schemes and private sector demand, especially in precision farming, spraying, seeding, and aerial data solutions.

With the government's push toward agri-drone adoption and schemes like SMAM, we are looking for a dynamic Sales Head with deep expertise in channel sales across FMCG, Pharma, and Agro sectors, who can lead and build a pan-India distribution strategy.

Position Overview:

The Sales Head will be responsible for defining and leading the regional sales plan for Andhra/Telangana, building and scaling a robust channel partner network, and driving sales of drone-based agricultural solutions under both government subsidy programs and commercial models.

The role demands an entrepreneurial mindset, deep understanding of rural sales channels, proven leadership in team building, and experience working closely with government, agri-institutions, and farmer communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Strategy & Planning

  2. Develop and implement a national sales plan focused on growth in agri-tech and drone deployment through traditional and modern channels.

  3. Align sales initiatives with government schemes, subsidy timelines, and partner expectations.
  4. Define channel policies, pricing strategies, and incentive structures.

  5. Channel Development & Management

  6. Identify, appoint, and nurture distributors, dealers, and agri-retailers across target geographies.

  7. Build a robust last-mile distribution model with channel partners in agro-inputs, rural pharma, or FMCG networks.
  8. Ensure distributor compliance, training, and performance tracking.

  9. Direct Sales & Customer Engagement

· Lead direct sales efforts targeting progressive farmers, large landholding owners, agribusinesses, and FPOs.

· Design and execute B2C and B2B sales strategies, leveraging field teams, agri-influencers, and digital platforms.

· Build and manage a lead funnel through direct farmer outreach, demo events, and inbound marketing channels.

· Ensure high conversion rates through personalized engagement, needs-based solutioning, and robust post-sale support.

  1. Government Scheme Execution (e.g., SMAM, KVK, FPO Programs)

  2. Lead end-to-end execution of drone sales under government schemes in collaboration with agriculture departments and nodal agencies.

  3. Build relationships with Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs), State Agri Universities (SAUs), and government officials.
  4. Ensure documentation, subsidy claim processes, and post-sale support are streamlined and partner-friendly.

  5. Team Leadership & Performance Management

  6. Build, train, and lead a high-performing sales team including RSMs, ASMs, and field sales executives.

  7. Set individual and team KPIs, monitor progress, and drive accountability.
  8. Conduct regular field visits to monitor execution and gather market insights.

  9. Product Awareness & Market Penetration

  10. Drive mass awareness campaigns in collaboration with marketing – including farmer demos, drone camps, agri-expos, and local influencer engagements.

  11. Collaborate with FPOs, NGOs, and agri-fintech partners for bundled offerings and financing solutions.

  12. Cross-functional Collaboration

  13. Work closely with technical teams for demo support, logistics for fulfillment, finance for subsidy reconciliations, and marketing for collaterals.

  14. Provide feedback to R&D and product teams for continuous product improvement.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's in Agriculture, Life Sciences, Business Administration, or related field.
  • MBA/PGDM in Sales, Marketing, or Agri-Business preferred.

Experience:

  • 8–10 years of proven experience in Direct/Channel sales leadership in FMCG, Agrochemical, Seeds, or Pharma sectors.
  • Hands-on experience in rural distribution networks and government liaison is essential.
  • Experience with product launch in agri-tech or mechanization solutions is a plus.

Skills:

  • Strategic thinking and strong business acumen.
  • Deep knowledge of rural channel dynamics and distribution models.
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in English, Telugu and Hindi.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CRM platforms, and sales dashboards.

  • FMCG (Rural distribution focus)
  • Pharma (OTC and rural outreach)
  • Agri-Tech / Drone-based Solutions (preferred but not mandatory)
