Role Overview

The Product Manager – Chimney is responsible for driving the end-to-end product development lifecycle and ensuring First Time Right (FTR) execution through robust stage-gate management.

The role demands strong techno-commercial acumen, structured execution, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams — particularly Development Quality, Sourcing, and Production — to deliver high-performance, cost-optimised products aligned with Isler's roadmap.

Key Responsibilities:

Stage-Gate Management

  • Drive and manage all project stage gates (Stage 0–5) from concept to mass production.
  • Ensure gate readiness through timely documentation, cross-functional reviews, and closure of all prerequisites.

Techno-Commercial Proposal Preparation

  • Prepare comprehensive techno-commercial proposals covering design, specifications, cost targets, timelines, and supplier inputs.
  • Support management in decision-making by presenting cost–benefit analyses and design trade-offs.

Specification Finalisation & BOM Validation

  • Define and freeze technical specifications (motor, filter, PCB, suction, structure, etc.) in coordination with cross-teams.
  • Validate Bill of Materials (BOM) for correctness, cost accuracy, and component rationalisation before approval.

Liaison with Development Quality (DQ) for FTR

  • Collaborate closely with the DQ team to ensure FTR (First Time Right) across all development stages.
  • Review test results, validation reports, and ensure timely closure of non-conformities.

Issue Resolution (N–1, N–10 & Market Feedback)

  • Track and resolve open issues or observations raised during N–1, N–10, or market feedback reviews.
  • Ensure root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) are implemented and verified.

Product Roadmap Planning

  • Develop and maintain a 12-month product roadmap, covering short-term launches and long-term portfolio evolution.
  • Align roadmap priorities with customer insights, cost-reduction initiatives, and localisation goals.

Project Dashboard & Tracking

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project dashboards to track milestones, status, risks, and dependencies.
